Jakarta, April 12 -- The Indonesian Emergency Medical Team (EMT) has been serving Myanmar's several thousand earthquake victims ailing from respiratory diseases and in need of surgical procedures, as well as providing obstetrical services for pregnant women.
"There are two pregnant women, at 16 and 32 weeks of gestation, being treated by the Indonesian EMT in Myanmar," National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) head of the data, information, and communication center Abdul Muhari noted in his statement on Friday (April 11).
He added that the medical team has also performed minor operations and offered treatment that includes emergency measures for other affected residents.
