Jakarta, June 20 -- A senior Indonesian lawmaker has called on the government to expedite the evacuation of 360 Indonesian citizens from Iran, as the conflict between Tehran and Israel continues to escalate.
"The Indonesian embassy in Tehran must take immediate and precise actions. Every second is counted in such this critical situation," Syamsu Rizal, a member of the House of Representatives' Commission I, emphasized.
Rizal, who serves on the House' commission overseeing foreign, defense, security, and communication affairs, noted that several countries have evacuated their nationals from the conflict zone.
