Jakarta, Feb. 12 -- The Ministry of Human Rights (HAM) has announced plans to create a Reconciliation and Peace Village (Kampung Redam) that promotes human rights values in regions affected by social conflict.

Minister of Human Rights Natalius Pigai stated that the development of Kampung Redam demonstrates the government's commitment to fostering peace and justice, particularly in conflict-affected areas.

"In Indonesia, numerous regions or villages have been affected by social conflicts in various forms, including those that have been resolved and those that may recur, ranging from small to large scale," he explained in a statement issued by the ministry on Wednesday.
