Jakarta, Aug. 25 -- Indonesia's Ministry of Home Affairs has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening village governance and institutions, Deputy Minister Ribka Haluk said on Monday.

The commitment is being realized through strategic initiatives, including the Village Governance and Development Strengthening Program (P3PD), Haluk said at the National Conference of the Indonesian Village Government Association (Apdesi) in Jakarta.

"This program aims to increase the capacity of village institutions to improve governance and enhance the quality of village development," she stated, according to a ministry release.
