Jakarta, Dec. 6 -- Indonesia's Housing and Settlement Areas Minister Maruarar Sirait plans to finalize contracts for 50,000 subsidized homes for low-income families on Dec. 18, marking what officials describe as a major push to expand affordable housing nationwide.
"Pray that on December 18, 2025, we can complete the mass signing for 50,000 subsidized homes," Sirait told reporters in Jakarta on Friday.
He said the mass contract signing will be held in Serang, Banten, adding that the event is expected to accelerate the delivery of government-backed homes.
