Jakarta, Nov. 2 -- Indonesia's Ministry of Creative Economy has launched a Fashion Incubation program in the Greater Jakarta area to help local designers improve product quality and expand into national and international markets.
Creative Economy Minister Teuku Riefky Harsya said the initiative marks the government's first step toward empowering local fashion brands to gain global recognition.
"The fashion sub-sector contributes significantly to exports and job creation within the creative economy," Harsya said in a statement on Sunday.
"This program aims to strengthen the creative economy's role in driving national growth from the local level," he added.
