Tangerang, Banten, Nov. 12 -- Social Affairs Minister Saifullah Yusuf announced that the government is distributing 16,000 laptops to students enrolled in Sekolah Rakyat (People's Schools), Indonesia's tuition-free educational program.

"All students will receive laptops. The total number is 16,000 units," Yusuf said during a visit to the Taruna Heroes' Cemetery in Tangerang, Banten, on Wednesday.

He explained that the laptops will be distributed not only to students but also to teachers to ensure optimal teaching and learning at Sekolah Rakyat schools.
