Jakarta, Dec. 3 -- The Indonesian government is intensifying efforts to ensure the steady flow of relief supplies to communities hit by floods and landslides in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra, a senior minister said Wednesday.
Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno highlighted the nationwide response during a press briefing at the Sumatra Disaster Aid Command Post at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base in Jakarta.
He said more than 500,000 tons of relief goods had been delivered to affected regions so far.
