Jakarta, Jan. 5 -- The Ministry of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions has partnered with staterun Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) to strengthen rural economies through sharia or Islamic banking initiatives.

The cooperation was formalized with the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on optimizing sharia banking services and products, attended by Villages Minister Yandri Susanto in Jakarta on Monday.

"We will continue to collaborate to support objective number six of President Prabowo Subianto's Asta Cita primary missions. God willing, this MoU will bring progress to villages across Indonesia," he said.
