Jakarta, March 3 -- The Indonesian government is set to formulate either a presidential instruction or a presidential regulation to clearly define the role of each institution involved in the execution of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program.
Speaking at a press conference after a limited cross-ministerial meeting at his office in Jakarta on Monday, Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan emphasized that such a regulation is necessary to prevent overlap among ministries, agencies, and other state institutions in implementing the program.
He noted that the planned regulation would also outline the tasks assigned to regional governments, primarily those related to the distribution of free meals.
