Indonesia, June 19 -- Foreign Minister Sugiono has raised the alert status of the Indonesian Embassy in Tehran, Iran, to level 1 following escalating hostilities between Iran and Israel.

"From the developments over the past two days, the intensity of Israeli attacks has increased, targeting not only the military but also civilians. I decided to increase the alert level at the Tehran Embassy from alert level 2 to alert level 1 in Tehran," he stated in St. Petersburg, Russia, Wednesday, local time.

He noted that around 380 Indonesian citizens are currently in Iran, especially in Tehran.

His side has instructed the Indonesian Embassy in Tehran to conduct a comprehensive assessment regarding the potential evacuation of Indonesian citizens ...
