Jakarta, April 26 -- The Indonesian delegation, including Human Rights Minister Natalius Pigai and the seventh President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, is prepared to attend the funeral Mass of Pope Francis in Vatican City on Saturday.
"We will depart from the hotel at 7:30 a.m. local time. The Mass is expected to take place between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. local time," Pigai stated when confirmed from here on Saturday.
Alongside Minister Pigai and former President Widodo, Indonesia's delegation attending the Pope's funeral includes two other representatives: Deputy Minister of Finance Thomas Djiwandono and Ignasius Jonan, who chaired the committee for Pope Francis' visit to Indonesia in 2024.
