Tangerang, Jan. 28 -- Indonesian authorities have removed 18.7 kilometers of an illegal sea fence spanning 30.16 kilometers in the waters of Tangerang district, Banten, head of the Indonesian Navy's (TNI-AL) Information Office, Commodore I Made Wira Hady, said.
He added that TNI-AL officers have been working with officials from the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, police officers, and local fishermen to remove the sea fence along the coasts of Teluknaga, Mauk, and Kronjo sub-districts.
"The remaining length of the sea fence is 11.46 kilometers," he informed in Tangerang on Tuesday.
