Jakarta, Sept. 7 -- Indonesia's Foreign Ministry confirmed that an Indonesian national was among hundreds of individuals arrested during the US immigration raid at the Hyundai electric vehicle plant in the US state of Georgia.

Judha Nugraha, director for protection of Indonesians at the ministry, said that the Indonesian, identified with initials CHT, was at the Hyundai Metaplant factory site on a business trip during the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raid.

"CHT planned for a month-long US business trip and he has the required passport, visa, and company invitation for the trip," Nugraha said in his statement on Sunday.
