Jakarta, July 4 -- The Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU) conducted a test flight of the KF-21 Boramae, a supersonic fighter jet developed jointly by Indonesia and South Korea, last week, Air Force spokesperson Air Commodore I Nyoman Suadnyana has confirmed.

According to an official press release on Thursday, the test flight took place on June 27, 2025.

"The strategic partnership between Indonesia and South Korea in developing a 4.5-generation fighter jet reached a major milestone with the successful test flight of the KF-21 Boramae prototype," Suadnyana said in the statement.

He added that the flight was carried out by Indonesian Air Force pilot Colonel Ferrel Rigonald and South Korean pilot Koh Hwi Seok.
