Jakarta, July 24 -- The Indonesian team clinched one gold, one silver, and four bronze medals at the 2025 world para table tennis championships, held in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, from July 18 to 22.

The result marked a significant improvement compared to the team's achievements in 2024, Indonesia's para table tennis coach Andre Gunaya said in a press release received from the Indonesian National Paralympic Committee (NPC) here on Thursday.

Komet Akbar secured the gold medal for Indonesia in the mixed doubles class 20 event, where he partnered with Russia's Olga Gorshkaleva. The silver medals were claimed by the men's doubles class 8 pair, Adyos Astan and Yayang Gunaya.
