Jakarta, Dec. 18 -- Indonesia's dragon boat team claimed gold and silver medals at the 2025 Southeast Asian Games in Thailand after strong performances in the men's and women's 200-meter small boat finals in Rayong on Thursday.

The men's team secured gold with a combined time of 1 minute 32.878 seconds, edging host Thailand and finishing ahead of Myanmar, the Philippines and Malaysia in the five-boat final.

Indonesia trailed Thailand in the opening heat, clocking 46.506 seconds against the hosts' 46.304, but rebounded in the second run.

Led by Sahrul Gunawan, the Indonesians posted the fastest second-heat time of 46.374 seconds, narrowly beating Thailand's 46.584 and sealing victory by 0.010 seconds overall.
