Jakarta, Feb. 19 -- Indonesia and the United States have reached an agreement on a reciprocal tariff arrangement after months of negotiations, President Prabowo Subianto said in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday.

The agreement is scheduled to be signed on Thursday, he added.

Prabowo said his visit to the United States aims to finalize what he described as an important trade deal for both countries.

"We have been negotiating very intensively over the past few months, and I believe we have reached a solid agreement on many issues," he said during a dinner with US business leaders.

He expressed hope that the agreement would strengthen economic partnership and cooperation between Indonesia and the US.
