Jakarta, Sept. 2 -- Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono has urged Peru to thoroughly investigate the fatal shooting of embassy staffer Zetro Leonardo Purba in Lima on Monday night

"We have requested the Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and local police to investigate this case thoroughly," Sugiono wrote on his Instagram account @menluri on Tuesday.

He also communicated with the Indonesian Ambassador to Peru, Ricky Suhendar, and with Purba's wife.

Sugiono instructed Ambassador Suhendar to closely monitor the progress of the investigation and to assist in the repatriation of Purba's body to Indonesia.
