Jakarta, June 27 -- Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono invited Mauritania to work together in addressing the Palestinian issue and the conflict in the Middle East within the framework of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

Sugiono conveyed this invitation when receiving a farewell visit from Mauritanian Ambassador Weddady Ould Sidi Haiba, according to an official statement from the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemlu), Thursday.

In response, Ambassador Haiba also expressed his appreciation and support for Indonesia's role in addressing the Palestinian issue in international forums.
