Jakarta, July 11 -- Indonesia's Minister of Environment, Hanif Faisol Nurofiq, has urged businesses to support national waste management initiatives by allocating corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds.

"CSR funding should be directed toward supporting waste sorting facilities at the neighborhood (RW) level, providing waste processing technologies such as composters, bioponds, and Material Recovery Facilities (MRFs), as well as promoting behavioral change campaigns," Nurofiq, who also serves as Head of the Environmental Control Agency (BPLH), said in a statement from Jakarta on Friday.
