Jakarta, Feb. 16 -- Indonesia has the potential to be one of the leaders among emerging economies in adopting artificial intelligence (AI).
This was conveyed by Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Meutya Hafid at the opening of the Congress of the Indonesian Women Journalists Forum (FJPI), which was held online on Saturday.
On that occasion, Hafid noted that European countries, especially France, aim to become leaders in the field of AI amid the competition between the US and China, which are seeking to lead AI at the global level.
"AI should not be something dictated by big countries; it must also take into account emerging economies like Indonesia and other countries in the Global South," she said.
