Jakarta, Sept. 6 -- A striking blood-red lunar eclipse-commonly known as a "blood moon"-will be visible across Indonesia from late night on September 7 to the early hours of September 8, 2025.

The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) has announced that the eclipse will begin at 11:27 PM WIB and conclude at 2:56 AM WIB, offering skywatchers a rare and vivid celestial display.

In a statement shared via BRIN's official Instagram account (@brin_indonesia), Thomas Djamaluddin, Research Professor of Astronomy and Astrophysics at BRIN's Space Research Center, explained the phases of the eclipse.
