Jakarta, June 30 -- The Indonesian government is committed to tightening supervision and conducting thorough evaluations of hiking safety procedures to prevent future incidents, Forestry Minister Raja Juli Antoni emphasized.

"We will thoroughly evaluate standard operating procedures, erect more posts along hiking trails, and provide technology-powered equipment such as a radio frequency identification system installed on climbers' bracelets to allow for quick emergency response," he told the media in Jakarta on Monday.
