Jakarta, Jan. 9 -- The Ministry of Social Affairs said this year it will focus on improving data quality, enhancing the accuracy of social assistance targeting, and expanding public participation.

Social Affairs Minister Saifullah Yusuf, when met here on Friday, said that the President's first mandate to the Ministry is updating the National Socio-Economic Single Data (DTSEN), which serves as the foundation for all government social protection policies and programs.

The accuracy of the DTSEN is considered crucial in determining the distribution of social assistance.
