Jakarta, April 2 -- Foreign Affairs Minister Sugiono said that the Indonesian government will send humanitarian aid for earthquake victims in Myanmar on Thursday.

He delivered the statement to the press after attending an Eid al-Fitr gathering hosted by the Speaker of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) in Jakarta on Wednesday.

According to the minister, Indonesia sent teams to earthquake-hit locations in Myanmar on Monday.

"We have sent teams since the 31st (of March)," he said.

Earlier, the Indonesian government sent humanitarian aid for earthquake victims in Myanmar with the help of several institutions, such as the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB), the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the Ministry of Health, ...
