Jakarta, Jan. 2 -- The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Kemkomdigi) has reaffirmed its strategic role in preparing a policy on biometric-based SIM card registration, which will be implemented gradually to strengthen the security of the national digital ecosystem.
Director General of Digital Ecosystem at the ministry, Edwin Hidayat Abdullah, said the ministry has taken a series of preparatory steps to ensure the biometric SIM registration is implemented smoothly, securely, and without burdening the public.
