Jakarta, Sept. 2 -- Indonesia's Deputy Foreign Minister Anis Matta stated that the ministry will soon review the protection scheme for diplomats and embassy staff stationed overseas.

Speaking to reporters after a working meeting with Commission I of the House of Representatives at the Senayan Complex on Tuesday, Anis referred to the shooting incident involving Zetro Leonardo Purba, a junior chancellery officer at the Indonesian Embassy in Lima, who was killed by an unidentified assailant on Monday (September 1, 2025) local time.
