Jakarta, Sept. 19 -- Indonesia will nominate its candidate for the post of deputy director general of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Law and Human Rights Minister Yasonna Laoly stated.

"I need to disclose that for the first time ever we will nominate an Indonesian for the post of deputy director general (of WIPO)," Laoly noted in a written statement released on Saturday.

Laoly spoke of him and Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi having concurred on nominating an Indonesian candidate for the post. The candidacy will serve as a milestone for the Indonesian membership of the world organization.
