Jakarta, June 25 -- Indonesia's Ministry of Tourism will soon launch the Kampung Main (Play Village) program, aimed at introducing tourism villages as sustainable destinations to a broader audience, especially children on school holidays.
The ministry's Deputy for Marketing, Ni Made Ayu Marthini, said on Wednesday that the participation of 18 partners from the Wonderful Indonesia campaign shows that regenerative tourism is attracting attention not only from the government but also from various stakeholders.
Marthini expressed hope that this collaborative effort would encourage children - as agents of change - to play a role in driving positive development.
