Jakarta, Dec. 23 -- The Indonesian government provided 1.35 million free halal certificates for micro and small enterprises (MSEs) by 2026, as informed by the Head of the Halal Product Assurance Agency (BPJPH), Ahmad Haikal Hasan.

He said the policy was a directive from President Prabowo Subianto ahead of the implementation of the Mandatory Halal Law in October next year.

"President Prabowo Subianto is accommodating the needs of micro and small entrepreneurs by providing 1.35 million free halal certificates in 2026," Hasan said in a statement on Tuesday.
