Jakarta, Dec. 23 -- The Ministry of Environment (KLH) stated that regulations governing producers' obligations to manage waste, known as Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), are expected to be finalized by mid-2026.

An Environment Ministry official, Agus Rusli, said here on Tuesday that EPR provisions have been firmly incorporated into a draft presidential regulation that is currently being prepared and submitted to the State Secretariat.

"However, the initiative permit has not yet been issued, and we have been asked to complete it within the first half of 2026," Rusli said.
