Surabaya, East Java, Nov. 21 -- The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology is working to simplify administrative procedures for Indonesian diaspora PhD holders who wish to become academics in Indonesia, either as lecturers or adjunct professors.

Deputy Minister Stella Christie said the simple steps aim to connect domestic academics with international-level research experiences and topics through collaboration with diaspora PhDs.

"We believe it is important for our diaspora to contribute, so it should be easy for them to work in Indonesia as adjunct professors. For example, if a diaspora member wants to teach here, the administrative process should be simplified," she said on Friday.
