Jakarta, July 11 -- Minister of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Maman Abdurrahman said his ministry is prepared to facilitate easier access to financing for MSME players in the creative industry.
"We are currently initiating and building communication to provide access to financing for creative industry players, especially those with intellectual property (IP)," he said in Jakarta on Friday.
He explained that IP, found in creative products such as music and films, is an intangible asset that could be used as collateral for financing.
"IP is an intangible asset. Songs, music, and films are based on IP, which so far may not have been able to be used as collateral for financing," he noted.
