Jakarta, Nov. 18 -- The Immigration and Corrections Ministry stated that 27 foreign nationals from China suspected of being part of a cybercrime syndicate face deportation from Indonesia.

Director of Immigration Intelligence, Police Commissioner Agus Waluyo, stated in a press conference in Jakarta on Tuesday that the foreign nationals were handed over from the Bekasi Police to the Bekasi Immigration Office.

"The 27 foreign nationals will be subject to immigration administrative action in the form of deportation to China. We are collaborating with the Chinese Embassy in Jakarta, and the Chinese police will then follow up," he said.
