Jakarta, Sept. 16 -- The Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) plans to mobilize about 100,000 personnel for its 80th-anniversary celebration at the National Monument (Monas) in Central Jakarta on October 5.

Head of the TNI Information Office Brigadier General Freddy Ardianzah said the massive contingent will include soldiers from the Army (TNI AD), Navy (TNI AL), Air Force (TNI AU), and members of the TNI Reserve Component (Komcad).

"Our plan is to deploy TNI personnel as well as residents who are part of the Reserve Component, numbering around 100,000. This figure is not yet final and may change depending on field needs," he stated in Jakarta on Tuesday.
