Jakarta, Oct. 21 -- Indonesia President Prabowo Subianto conveyed readiness for the construction of the Giant Sea Wall National Strategic Project along the north coast of Java (Pantura) to protect 50 million people from rising sea levels.
Chairing a Plenary Cabinet Session on the first year of his administration, Prabowo explained that the construction of a 535-kilometer-long giant sea wall along the Pantura coast is the government's solution to addressing the sea level rise of around 5 centimeters per year due to the impact of climate change.
