Jakarta, July 3 -- Indonesia's Halal Product Assurance Agency (BPJPH) and the Ministry of Tourism are working together to strengthen Muslim-friendly tourism through expanded halal certification.

BPJPH Head Ahmad Haikal Hasan said in an official statement on Thursday that both agencies have overlapping programs, making collaboration not only strategic but also necessary.

"It's important to create synergy through joint programs that support and strengthen one another so the benefits are felt more broadly across society," he said in Jakarta.

Haikal noted that BPJPH offers a free halal certification program known as Sehati, which aims to issue 1 million free halal certificates to micro and small enterprises (SMEs) across Indonesia in 2025....
