Jakarta, Aug. 22 -- Indonesia's Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education will soon introduce computer programming and artificial intelligence (AI) subjects into its Multi-Entry, Multi-Exit (MEME) curriculum at the tuition-free Sekolah Rakyat.

Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Abdul Mu'ti announced the plan during a briefing for Sekolah Rakyat teachers and principals in Jakarta on Friday.

He said the MEME curriculum is designed to give students learning opportunities tailored to their talents, interests, abilities, and pace, while maintaining the same subject matter and approaches used in formal schools.
