Jakarta, May 26 -- Indonesia's Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia is targeting to augment electricity capacity by 69.5 gigawatts (GW) through power plants, as per the Electricity Supply Business Plan (RUPTL) for 2025-2034.
The addition of power plants is aimed at supporting the transformation of the energy mix, he said here on Monday.
As per the ministry's target, 76 percent of the total power plant capacity would come from new and renewable energy.
"Around 42.6GW comes from new and renewable energy; meanwhile, around 10.3GW is storage," Lahadalia informed.
