Jakarta, Aug. 14 -- Indonesia's distribution of social assistance is now being directed toward more eligible beneficiaries, according to Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf.

The aid distribution will be based on the National Socioeconomic Single Data (DTSEN), managed by Statistics Indonesia (BPS), to ensure assistance reaches the right people.

In a written statement on Thursday, Yusuf said the DTSEN system has led to several former beneficiaries losing eligibility during verification and being replaced with new recipients considered more deserving.

"There will be new recipients every three months. Some check out, some check in," he said.
