Indonesia, Sept. 25 -- Indonesia's border task force (Satgas Pamtas) intercepted smuggled vehicles, subsidized goods, and weapons during a 12-month deployment along the border with Timor-Leste, military officials said Thursday.

Brigadier General Hendro Cahyono, commander of Korem 161/Wira Sakti, announced the results at a farewell ceremony in Kupang.

The eastern sector unit, Yonif 741/Garuda Nusantara, intercepted two Rush cars and nine motorcycles, he said.

"These accomplishments reflect not only the professionalism of our soldiers, but real dedication performed without ulterior motives in challenging border operations," Hendro said.
