Jakarta, May 19 -- Indonesia and Thailand agreed to intensify security cooperation to address transnational crimes, including online fraud and human trafficking.
"In our security and defense cooperation, we discussed the issue of transnational crime, especially online fraud networks and human trafficking, as well as drug trafficking," Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto stated in a joint press statement with Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra at the Government House, Bangkok, on Monday.
During his state visit to Thailand, Prabowo also expressed his appreciation for the Thai government's efforts in rescuing and repatriating numerous Indonesians from online scam syndicates operating on the Myanmar border.
