Jakarta, Dec. 10 -- Population and Family Development Minister Wihaji said that Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT) and West Java are prioritized provinces in the government's efforts to combat stunting.

He explained that NTT is prioritized due to having the highest stunting prevalence in Indonesia at 37 percent, based on the 2024 Indonesian Nutrition Status Survey (SSGI). West Java, meanwhile, is prioritized due to its status as the most populous province in the country.

"This does not mean other areas are not important, but West Java due to its population size and NTT due to its high stunting prevalence," Wihaji said at the Parent Movement to Prevent Stunting (Genting) Collaboration Summit 2025 here on Wednesday.
