Jakarta, March 17 -- Indonesia's Ministry of Industry announced its aim to lead nine industry sub-sectors to partake in carbon trading activities set to commence in 2027.

Speaking in Jakarta on Monday, the ministry's Head of the Industrial Services Policy Standardization Agency (BSKJI), Andi Rizaldi, identified cement, textiles, steel/metal, paper pulp, ceramics and glasses, food and beverage, fertilizers, transportation means, and chemicals as key industrial sub-sectors.
