Jakarta, Nov. 12 -- The government has set a target to electrify every village in Indonesia during President Prabowo Subianto's tenure, according to Minister of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions Yandri Susanto.

"During a Cabinet meeting, we agreed to ensure that no villages are left without access to electricity during Mr. Prabowo's presidency," Susanto told lawmakers at a hearing with Commission V of the House of Representatives (DPR) in Jakarta on Wednesday.

He emphasized that access to electricity is a key aspect of the government's efforts to achieve equitable development across rural regions nationwide.
