Jakarta, Jan. 30 -- Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia is targeting a groundbreaking for the electric vehicle (EV) battery ecosystem project, implemented by the Huayou and EVE Energy consortium, in collaboration with national companies such as Antam, IBI, and DBL, in the first semester of 2026.

"We hope to conduct the groundbreaking this year. Following the direction of President Prabowo Subianto, we can do it in the first semester," Lahadalia said after the signing of the Antam-IBI-HYD consortium agreement in Jakarta on Friday.

Lahadalia said the groundbreaking could proceed once all necessary preparations are completed.
