Jakarta, June 29 -- Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar has called for greater participation from universities in poverty alleviation efforts through community service programs.

In a statement on Sunday, he emphasized that such programs are essential for accelerating the reduction of poverty in Indonesia.
