Jakarta, June 18 -- The Indonesian government is moving forward with plans to develop the Rebana area in West Java as a new hub for economic growth, alongside strengthening infrastructure and industrial development in the region.
The Rebana area covers seven districts/cities of West Java-Subang, Indramayu, Majalengka, Sumedang, Cirebon, Kuningan, and Cirebon city.
Designated as a new industrial cluster and metropolitan zone, it covers around 20 percent of the province's total area and is home to nearly 10 million people. It contributes approximately 19 percent to West Java's gross regional domestic product (GRDP).
