Ankara, Jan. 10 -- Foreign Minister Sugiono reiterated Indonesia's support for Turkiye's bid to become an ASEAN dialogue partner, aiming to enhance its involvement in Southeast Asia.

In a joint press statement following the 2+2 Dialogue between the Indonesian and Turkish Foreign and Defense Ministers in Ankara on Friday, Sugiono welcomed Turkiye's aspiration to become a full dialogue partner and expressed Indonesia's readiness to provide full support.

He explained that during the dialogue, delegations exchanged views on regional updates and their respective diplomatic positions in international forums, including the United Nations (UN), the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and ASEAN.
